Candles & Favors is pleased to be part of earth hour which will be on Saturday March 27 2010!
We have poured 400 of our wonderful personalized candle favors which are being sold at the Peekskill Youth Bureau. They are selling them to support Earth Hour and generate funding for the Peekskill Youth Bureau summer Program which provides children and youth, up to age 21, with effective youth development programs. Youth Bureau Programs are designed to assist City Youth in becoming competent leaders of the 21st century. For those of you that may not be familiar with Earth Hour it was started in 2007 in Sydney Australia when 2.2 million homes and business shut off there lights for one (1) hour to take a stand against climate change. You can learn more about both of he above causes which I feel is very important for our youth at the links above.
Candles & Favors will be voting against climate change on March 27th to help shape the world for the next generation including our two children!
